History, Takes me Anywhere (Part 2)

What does history to do with the country? it seems an easy question to be accomplished. First of all, since students learn about what the country had experienced in the past, they'll likely realize it did not take easy steps to be a prosperous country as today (for example: Japan, from world War II to Meiji Restoration and now becoming one of the greatest economic countries) or even past glorious that faded as time spent on (for example: Roman Empire in which could fall in barbarians invasion). Historiocity which comes from historical events possibly form students' character. In this sense, teacher plays significant part in deciding which values should be absorbed. Teacher determines the process of learning, makes sure students are in right place and right time, of course without eliminating black part of the history. Forming these characters of students is preparing them in society, in which plays far more important than skill. Generally speaking, before delivering the materials, I do give motivation about everything that related to learning essenses. It is expected that students probably will feel worth to study history, not for the sake of exam score, but for themselves. Teacher also has students realize that history is not only about completing learning goals (which typically is measured by a set of test), but how history makes a wiser and better person.
